Time Travelling Into A Past Life: What Happens in a Regression

You hear about past life reincarnation and all sorts of tales of the soul, but isn’t until you see for yourself – when you relive in your own mind and emotions, and when you have the feelings come back – that you will be able to believe in what happened. Once you experience it for yourself then there is no denial. Still, processing it all can be quite challenging and overwhelming.

Life can be already quite confusing by dealing with the trivial interactions and exchanges of experiences we are constantly learning about everyone, every minute of every day. Add a past life to it and watch the steam go up in the cauldron.

I didn’t know what to expect when I got into this past life regression with Lorraine Flaherty. We interviewed her and spoke about herwork in this article: The Soul Detective. So, it was very exciting when we scheduled our session and I was about to jump into the mystery of self and figure out some of my own issues. I sure wasn’t expecting what happened.

I’m still processing the whole thing and not trying to rationalise the whole experience, although the word rationalise doesn’t really apply well in this experience.

Firstly we discussed my intention, in this case to find out more about my soul mission and what I’m supposed to be doing in this life, and in which direction should I be going, etc.

While talking about the intention, she asked some questions which revealed some areas in which I am constantly challenged. That highlighted my issues around trust and the fact I couldn’t really trust males. In fact, a bigger aspect was directly reflected to the fact that, for some reason, I felt I couldn’t trust myself. So that was the main theme around the inability of having healthy romantic relationships – Trusting in myself first and foremost.

After being in a trance, the first thing we must do is to make sure there isn’t any attachment to one’s energetic field. Make sure it’s only you there and no other energies.

I wasn’t prepared to find out there were about 4 children attached to me, and I wasn’t prepared to consciously meet each and every single one of them and to see how they each died. It was very hard to let go of them. But Lorraine has this amazing way of working and bringing them back to their loved ones in the astral plane, so the joy of experiencing that was very rewarding. I’ve decided to write about this in a separate article; please see the link to the article here: Dealing With Attachments and understanding how you are responsible For Them.

Once your energy field is clear, you are ready to time travel and explore your own journey.

I was taken to a portal and was recharging. I felt like I was home and at ease. When she asked me where I was, the first word that came to mind was “Heaven”. I could speak with everything telepathically; the trees, animals, even the air. I felt everything because I was everything, and at the same time I was still me, or the essence of me.

In this amazing world I started speaking with a little blue bird. I was told I was about to go somewhere and suddenly I was floating into another body in London in either 1837 or 1937, I’m still not quite clear of the year. She asked me what my name was and I said Ramona.

The pain was terrible; the discomfort the agony. The first thing I saw was my dead body on the streets and people spitting and kicking it. I can’t say it was easy. It was a shocking experience and very emotionally overwhelming.  I discovered I was a prostitute and was strangled to death. But I also found out how I got to that place, what life lesson I was meant to work with in that lifetime, and how I had failed on it. In fact I had to work on that lesson many life times. Here is the video with parts of the regression and what happened.

This experience was truly something unique. I got to heal so many aspects of myself, and of my old dead body – which reflected in my current body. I got to heal aspects of my soul family and understand why I couldn’t trust others in the past, nor trust myself. I also got to terminate old karmic contracts and re-write new ones valid for this life.

The basic lessons and main theme of my past lives revolved around being able to fully and unconditionally love myself and others. Even if I was left alone or betrayed by them. Now that the lesson has been learned, I could make new history and decide what is to come in the present lifetime.

The best part of the whole experience was being able to understand the interconnection with previous lives’ patterns and to meet people whom are members of my soul family. To know some people in my life have been present in past lives and that we have been working together in karmic lessons, and to know how this process works and how much healing is available when you are willing to look into it and surrender to it.

There were also wonderful blissful moments where I felt full unconditional love from source energy and I returned to my soul essence. It was hard to keep track of my body because I was only light and energy I had returned to be frequency and melted into all there is. I can’t describe it into words. But I imagine it’s like being pure soul essence again.

I guess this experience has given me so much understanding of myself and how my emotional body reacts to certain situations, how much more there is to life, how everything is truly timelessly connected, and how much work we ,as humans, have done up to the present time.

The Gayatri Mantra – Mantra Of Increased Wisdom, Spiritual Growth & Development

Gayatri Mantra (the mother of the vedas), the foremost mantra in hinduism and hindu beliefs, inspires wisdom. Its meaning is that “May the Almighty God illuminate our intellect to lead us along the righteous path”. The mantra is also a prayer to the “giver of light and life” – the sun (savitur).

Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction.

Gayatri, the five-faced Goddess, is said to have domain over the five senses or pranas, and protects these five life-forces of those who chant the Gayatri Mantra. In her role as the protector, Gayatri is referred to as Savitri.

Origin of the Gayatri Mantra

The Vedas are widely considered to be the source of all true knowledge, the word “Veda” itself meaning “Knowledge”. Gayatri Devi also gave to mankind the “Gayatri Mantra”, also known as the “Guru Mantra” or the “Savitri Mantra”. It is one of the oldest mantras, and generally thought of as being amongst the highest and most powerful mantras of all. This mantra is therefore often referred to as “the Mother of the Vedas”. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna had proclaimed to Arjuna – “Among all the mantras, I am the Gayatri”.

Chanting of the Gayatri Mantra

The ideal times for chanting the mantra are three times a day – at dawn, mid-day, and at dusk. These times are known as the threesandhyas – morning, mid-day and evening. The maximum benefit of chanting the mantra is said to be obtained by chanting it 108 times. However, one may chant it for 3, 9, or 18 times when pressed for time.

Rishis selected the words of the Gayatri Mantra and arranged them so that they not only convey meaning but also create specific power of righteous wisdom through their utterance. Chanting of Gayatri Mantra removes all obstacles in our path to increased wisdom and spiritual growth and development. The teachings and powers incorporated in the Gayatri Mantra fulfill this purpose. Righteous wisdom starts emerging soon after Jap(recitation) of the Gayatri Mantra is performed.

The syllables of the mantra are said to positively affect all the chakras or energy centres in the human body – hence, proper pronunciation and enunciation are very important. Sathya Sai Babateaches that the Gayatri Mantra “will protect you from harm wherever you are, make your intellect shine, improve your power of speech, and dispel the darkness of ignorance (Dhiyoyonah prachodayaath)”.

Word for Word Meaning of the Gayatri Mantra

The Gayatri Mantra is unique in that it embodies the three concepts of stotra (singing the praise and glory of God), dhyaana (meditation) and praarthana (prayer).

Aum = Brahma ;
bhoor = embodiment of vital spiritual energy(pran) ;
bhuwah = destroyer of sufferings ;
swaha = embodiment of happiness ;
tat = that ;
savitur = bright like sun ;
varenyam = best choicest ;
bhargo = destroyer of sins ;
devasya = divine ;
these first nine words (stotra describe the glory of God
dheemahi = may imbibe ; pertains to meditation
dhiyo = intellect ;
yo = who ;
naha = our ;
prachodayat = may inspire!
“dhiyo yo na prachodayat” is a prayer to God

Significance of Gayatri Mantra as Prayer

The Gayatri Mantra occupies a unique place in that it has both the power of mantra and of prarthana (prayer). A mantra may be articulate or inarticulate, or a combination of them, as with AUM. It has an inherent power, known as “Mantra shakti”, which has a positive influence not due to any philosophical meaning behind the mantra, but simply due to its utterance alone. The Gayatri mantra has both an intrinsic power (ie “mantra shakti”), through its mere utterance alone, and also an instrumental power (ie “prarthana shakti”), which is derived from the understanding of its meaning and philosophical significance. Hence, the repeated and correct chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, with proper understanding of its meaning, is believed to be of the greatest good to the individual. (Details of each syllable can be found in the Gayatri by Words article)

The prayer form of the Gayatri takes various forms. The Gayatri Mantra is also known as the Savitri Mantra, in which form, it is invoked as a salutation to the Sun. The form that can be used to pray to Lord Shiva is called Rudra Gayatri. Similarly, one may sing Ganesha Gayatri for Lord Ganesha,Hanuman Gayatri for Lord Hanuman, and Saraswati Gayatri for Goddess Saraswati.

Life Coaching With Simon Crowe

Simon Crowe is a Life coach. That’s the best term to define his line of work.

The words life and coach put together always intrigued me. Do we need a coach to learn how to live?

Do we need help to find what is missing? To succeed? To strive?

I’ve always been a very “independent” person, says everyone who meets me. Maybe coming and “making” in a foreign Country so far away from my family is one of the give aways of my independency, but I had never had coaching before – or had I?
The homosapiens in the animal kingdom need nurturing. We won’t be able to talk, write, count or learn society rules unless we learn from one another. From the day we are born, we are interdependent.. We learn so that we can be independent, but just how independent are we?

Life doesn’t make any sense without interdependence. We need each other, and the sooner we learn that, the better for us all_ Erik Erikson

holding hands

At present, I have this theory.. See if you follow.. If we are the universe, God within ourselves etc., we can accomplish anything we want and we have the power for it within ourselves. However, if we were meant to do everything by ourselves, why would we have the need to have a whole external creation? If we were meant to learn everything from ourselves, there would be no need for the existence of other people in the first place. And if we are all ONE, they are also parts of ourselves playing different roles in this infinite of realities. This is not so straightforward.

Simon has a way of triggering some questions, questions we already had but maybe were afraid to ask; even better with his way of working, he enables us to have clarity and to look for the answers within.

I guess the best way to understand his work is to take a look at his interview, below:

It takes me back to a thing he said to me “Having a clear purpose is something very powerful, it creates an energy around it that drives things into being.”

It makes perfect sense to me. Thanks to people like Simon, if you are willing to commit and expand your dream into extraordinary proportions, you can have some help – life coaching.

Life is not straightforward at all, and thanks to our unique magnificence, we encounter the people we need in our path to encourage us along our journey.

I recently read an article written by Gary Z McGee where a balance between co-dependency and independency is crucial for spiritual growth.

“By reconnecting with the cosmos, by embracing your interdependence, you not only free yourself from the burden of slavery, you also free yourself from the burden of freedom. The world suddenly goes from being a thing that needs to be conquered to a thing that needs to be surrendered to. Indeed, it is when you embrace your interdependence for the first time that you discover, as Alan Watts did, that you’re no longer a victim of the world, you are the world. And that’s a spiritual connection like no other.” – Gary Z McGee
