“Generated from the heart of divine spirit, condensing into manifestation, the one in the many – father sky and mother earth. Between them, the seven layers of manifestation form a rainbow bridge connecting earth and heaven, the stepping stones for matter to spirit, connecting through our bodies as we connect to each other and to the endless web of life, ever awakening into consciousness.” – excerpt from the video

What is the secret kept within the serpent rising? Some may have heard about Kundalini Rising, but why is it represented by a golden snake? What is the symbolic meaning behind it?
I have always been terrified of snakes. I think it has been my main fear. I still can’t forget every time I saw a snake in real life in Brazil or even on TV – I jumped! The fear would come followed by this discomfort and a feeling of disgust.. Oh I truly hated snakes.
I never really understood their weird shape and bodies and how they moved .. I certainly never thought I would be kissing one!
Yes I said kissing!
I’ll sure write about that in another article but for now let me rewind a little. The change started with meditation practices. I was always taken to magical places while meditating. So, one day I was very surprised when this massive golden shiny snake appeared in my meditation and started to talk to me. Then, it invited me to put my arms around it and we started to fly around the Amazon forest between rainbows and waterfalls. I said to myself “mm, this is kinda cool”. Maybe snakes aren’t that bad after all!
Time passed, and my fear of snakes started to be confronted. The idea of oneness doesn’t fit when you can’t actually appreciate every single part of creation. On top of that, I started to practice Kundalini Yoga and Hello! That’s called the snake raising energy – I sure thought maybe it is time to confront this false belief and understand more about these beings.
Not long after that, I was invited to a very unusual Kundalini Yoga workshop which had serpents. I immediately thought “here is my chance, let’s embrace this great opportunity to grow and gain some true perspective”. It was certainly one of the most surreal experiences of my life.
Kwali Kumara held this amazing ceremony where we could really connect with these multi dimensional beings and understand them in an inner and collective level. Feel their healing energy and understand about their actual vulnerability. I never knew how similar to a human a serpent could be!
I had the immense pleasure of interviewing Kwali and learning so much about these mystical beings and their healing powers, and what really connects them to us and the raising Kundalini energy.
Kwali Kumara certainly has a strong mission, and her divinity is felt personally and of course her divine work is a soul touching experience.
Her devotion for those animals and her understanding of their mission is truly moving. If you want to know about her personal journey and connect to her views and inspired mission here is another great video.
I invite you to look at the world from a snake’s perspective and understand how hard it can be when everyone misjudges. I invite you to go even further and be and feel every single living being in the planet, to try and understand the balance the connection and the miracle that we are. The miracle of All.

The primordial spiral is the manifested world, while Akasha is the unmanifested, or emptiness itself. All of reality is an interplay between these two things; Yang and Yin, or consciousness and matter. The spiral has often been represented by the snake, the downward current, while the bird or blooming lotus flower has represented the upward current or transcendence.
The ancient traditions taught that a human being can become a bridge extending from the outer to the inner, from gross to subtle, from the lower chakras to the higher chakras. To balance the inner and the outer is what the Buddha called the middle way, or what Aristotle called the Golden Mean. You can be that bridge. The full awakening of human consciousness and energy is the birthright of every individual on the planet. In today’s society we have lost the balance between the inner and the outer. We are so distracted by the outer world of form, thoughts and ideas, that we no longer take time to connect to our inner worlds, the kingdom of heaven that is within.
