I’m A Control Freak. Now What?

Most of us know by now, as proven countless times in our collective and individual history that control, in any way, shape or form, whether we do it to ourselves and/or to others, whether it is subtle  or apparent, it  is dysfunctional and it is something we eventually have to grow through for obvious reasons, but how do we actively do that and what does fully letting go of control means ?

Many of us have tried to control ourselves, what we’re experiencing and how and when, we tried to control the future because our minds thought it’s safer this way, it provides us with this very temporary feeling of comfort, an illusionary security.  For a moment, this might seem to work well, we feel safe and stable, and control does seem to create some kind of order in some ways, so it’s fine to play in it for a few moments, it serves a purpose. But in this space we’ve created, there is no room for expansion, for growth, for self-discovery and exploration. Control comes from some sort of fear always.

Simply put, as long as control is part of our daily practices, life won’t be lived to the fullest. It’s limiting our capacity, our potential, it steals our joy and it becomes exhausting to even try to control everything. Taken to the extreme, we will begin to try to control others around us, and this will just add up to our unhappiness, as control will most likely make relationships wither in time.

Then there comes a moment when this reality simply doesn’t serve us anymore and we are ready to grow and expand through it, and that’s when the reality that’s been built on control starts crumbling down bit by bit and things might get a little bit wonky then. There will be frustration, disappointment, constant irritation, exhaustion, and that’s O.K too. The reality as we knew it in “control-mode” is turned upside down, we are being shaken up, so we can expand. The control freak that’s in many of us begins to feel threatened and emotional reactions like the ones I just mentioned will follow on and on, until we allow ourselves to understand and integrate the wisdom that is being reflected in this experience, until we acknowledge the control freak within us and we allow it to mature and blossom into something more aligned with our free spirit.

Control can be such a great teacher, but to learn from it we have to pay attention like a student in class. In order to be able to learn from the teacher, there needs to be quiet in the room, pay attention to the lesson presented to absorb the knowledge, learn the lesson. Therefore, as with most things, we need to stop for a moment and reflect on our experience so far.

In essence, control is merely a cheap dualistic replica of our soul’s will and power, the aspect within us that “gets things done”, that moves things forward, the action taking aspect. We confused being in charge, an empowered individual with being in control, which are two completely different things.

Being in control means being fixated on very specific outcomes, it means supressing and repressing, as well as manipulating to get what we want, at times lying to do that, only to find ourselves living a life that lacks passion, adventure, spontaneity, and surrender. A dull life.

Being in charge means being aware that we are responsible in all ways for what we are experiencing and directing the energy consciously where we want it to go, as we surrender to what it is and will be, as we allow that directed energy to take the shape that serves us best. This is not to be confused with being passive. Action always needs to be taken, we are physical human beings. Divine will works through us, it doesn’t take actions for us. These actions that need to be taken will be revealed to us one way or another. We simply have to be receptive and open minded, open-hearted and in order to be receptive we have to be present in the moment of now, to be able to recognize and see clearly the opportunities that are being presented to us.

In this case, surrender is the key. Allowing life to unfold as it is, allowing ourselves to be who we are, allowing ourselves to experience what is, allowing ourselves to let go of perceptions, expectations with complete trust that all is unfolding perfectly for us, no matter how it looks in the moment or how chaotic everything might be.

One of the reasons why this dualistic earth experience/experiment is so precious is that we are learning and have learned the two sides of the same coin, so we can absorb the knowledge and wisdom from each experience to be able to choose the one we want.

With so many planets currently in retrograde, I felt compelled to share this piece of information. I see planets in retrograde as older siblings who sometimes playfully pick on us, teasing and triggering us, but love us unconditionally and want what’s best for us. The same goes with planets in retrograde. They highlight the aspects within us that need to be matured through “triggers.” They pick on those aspects and areas of our lives where progress might’ve been slow or inexistent. Those are the aspects and areas where growth and expansion are most needed for us to eventually blossom into a  whole and illumined human being.

The control freak aspect within us is very much picked on these days for many of us. The conditioning around control is very deep. Remember always that your response alone to a challenging outer or inner experience can shift an experience completely. Reacting strengthens and supports the on-going experience of the same thing, possibly with different nuances, players and playground. Many perceive this as some”karma” that is out to get us, because we did something “bad” and we’re “paying” for it. This perception is outdated, as that is not the case. When a pattern repeats itself, we create it to eventually transform, absorb its wisdom and integrate what’s necessary from it in our human psyche and, inevitably, in our daily lives. It’s all designed to facilitate our soul-human evolution.

Full Documentary: The Cosmic Giggle – Spirituality And Consciousness

The Cosmic Giggle is an experimental documentary film that explores the human energy field’s dynamic relationship with our environment. Naturally as human beings, we are connected to a vast network of fluid information inherent to the world around us. When we are children, we are open to this field through simple innocent observance, but because of our collective evolution towards a dominating and fixated worldview, this perception becomes veiled. This film reveals how this process takes place and provides keys for returning to a more primal and authentic experience of our reality.

Mental Projections – What Are Those ?

The concept of mentally projecting onto others is a major block in relationships of all sorts, that lead to misunderstandings, misconceptions and misperceptions of us and others. As I have said before, relationships are an outer expression of us, of our desires, goals, purposes, lessons, of who we are and inevitably of the vibration and frequency we are holding within. They are simply an outer manifestation of our inner universe, a facet of our existence.

Often times, other people are mirrors of ourselves. When we look in a mirror, we see ourselves. Sometimes the same thing happens with people in our life – we see us in them. We see aspects of ourselves in them. The way we see others could be influenced by belief systems we hold onto, judgement, social programming, dualistic perceptions, unresolved “issues” we resist letting go of and other things that have yet to be released from our psyche. As a result of that, we get a distorted image of the person that sits in front of us and then we buy into it so bad that we think that person is exactly the way we see it. But is it so ?

In order to be able to see clearly, we have to be clear within of all those things I have mentioned above, to crystallize our vision, to purify. The key, as in most cases, is awareness. We can only release something from our psyche, if we know it’s there, if we acknowledge it. That’s why meditation and all other forms of increasing awareness are highly recommended, because becoming aware is the first and most important step and facet of our evolution.

Projections serve their purpose as everything else in creation. They are showing us things about ourselves that aid in our personal transformation. For example, we may be seeing aspects of ourselves in other people that we may have not yet fully acknowledged, embraced and unified within the whole that we, which is the purpose of these projections. That is the reason why people in our lives are the greatest teachers we will ever have on our journey, because they are teaching us about ourselves. In the end, it all comes down to us, if we are willing to learn. And these lessons are priceless. It’s like finding a gold treasure, but a lot more valuable.

At the same time, projections are still a dysfunctional mental program we need to transcend. Getting a distorted image of others, or the opposite, getting projected onto, can lead to a lot of misunderstandings, of unnecessary drama, inner/outer conflicts and it’s just a  waste of time and energy to constantly create it when there is a much more effective way to discover and learn about yourself – through awareness.
We achieve a greater clarity and are able to see other people exactly how they are, when we know ourselves, when we become aware of who we are, of all parts of ourselves and when our awareness expands enough for our vision to not to be influenced by outdated mental patterns.
Projecting onto others creates a discordant energy, a fog, a veil of illusion, of separation that can create blocks to Unity Consciousness. That is why it is important to be able to acknowledge and transcend this program. Dissolving the projections or at least being able to identify can bring a lot of happiness and clarity not only within us, but in our relationships as well. It is key to being able to create transparent, transcendent and higher vibrational relationships of any form.

So, know thyself.

10 Signs You May Be Experiencing A Shift To A Higher Vibration

In today’s world, information and knowledge of certain profound and life-changing shifts has largely been suppressed by the education system and the mass media. These experiences are not yet commonplace, but are on the rise as more and more people awaken each year. These shifts can take the form of spiritual awakening or a shedding of a previous way of viewing reality. When an awakening like this occurs, many new senses and values may surface. Typically, a person believes that it is ‘normal’ to feel separate from other people, animals or nature. However, when one has an experience of shifting to a higher vibration, you may feel interconnected with everything – nature and the universe as a whole. You may also have a more profound connection with what it means to be alive and feel a calling to serve a deeper purpose in life. A new sensitivity to the world may result from having an experience like this. You might experience:

Discovering The Infinite Now

You may have the realization that the only “real” time is right now as the past and future may appear to be an illusion. When the Now opens up for you, a sense of freedom to do what you are truly passionate about may surface. You may realize that you can actively create your future in the present, and not wait for the future to happen unto you.

After awakening seemingly coincidental things may start occurring on a daily basis. This may take shape of seeing a particular time on the clock repeatedly (like 11:11 or 12:34). It may also appear that you are manifesting your reality into existence by thought alone. You may think of a person you haven’t seen or heard from in a long time and they may reach out to you that same day. You may think of a song and the next thing you know it is playing in the restaurant you are at. It may appear that the universe is leading you in a particular direction based on the timing of these events.

Prophetic Dreams And Mystical Experiences

Many of those who have undergone a recent spiritual transformation of some kind will often find themselves having mystical moments with nature, animals or other people. You may also experience prophetic dreams. This is when you have a dream of an event and a day or two later that event will happen. You may feel a sense of dejavu, or remembrance that this has happened already.

Feeling Isolated Or Not At Home On Planet Earth

When experiencing a shift to a higher vibration you may feel isolated in your newfound way of perceiving the world. Many around you will refute your claims of reality having a deeper, more symbolic meaning than that which meets the eye. You may feel like you are literally a soul from another world and that you do not belong here. However, this yearning for a different world is what is at the core of the most amazing and influential innovators and artists.

A Disinterest In Material Gains

After an awakening each experience had begins to hold more meaning than that obtaining any particular material item. What becomes important is not being rich, but being wealthy. Seeing the world, having a good time with friends and maintaining a healthy family relationship may begin to take priority to that of working to shop, and shopping to work.

Using Your Natural Gifts As Your Career

Upon awakening many people realize what it is they truly enjoy in life and what your natural skills and gifts are. Many find that having a natural aptitude for music, cooking or storytelling is a great gift that could be capitalized upon by focusing their energies into a creative and entrepreneurial pursuit that would be more in alignment with their true life’s purpose. You may feel that working for a large company to pay for food and bills is a waste of time, and that working for yourself would pay off a lot more.

Spending More Time Alone

You may experience an ultra-sensitivity to other people’s energies, which can in-turn drain your own. Spending more time meditating, exploring your creativity and connecting with nature will sound like a good idea. This can help better the relationship you have with yourself which will affect the way you interact with the world and other people.

Old Memories And Emotions Surface

A lot of people mistake a spiritual awakening for a blissful and ecstatic experience of enlightenment. However, during the spiritual journey many repressed memories or emotions may surface and cause a deeply felt pain or sorrow. Seeing the mistakes of the past in a new, egoless light may shock you and you may feel you have to make amends with those you have hurt and those who have hurt you. Remember to choose love over fear in these situations and to be gentle with yourself. This is a natural part of the shedding process.

Stopping Unproductive Habits

You may realize that your habitual behaviors will bring you down or hold you back. You may feel that you want to stay away from unproductive or toxic relationships or substances. When awakening to your true purpose you may feel that drugs, alcohol, bad food, abusive relationships, and too much time spent around technology can severely deplete your energy.
Many on the spiritual quest prefer to spend time around those who have a positive effect on them as well as to feed their body alkaline and nutrient-rich foods and to purify the body through exercise and alternative medicines.

A Sensitivity To Phones, Computers and TVs

Many who wake up may start to feel frequencies emitting from electronic devices, particularly those receiving a signal from a radio tower or satellite. You may feel an unpleasant sensation in your hands while holding your phone or typing on your laptop that you previously never felt before. This may be because you are more attuned to your energy body and you can feel the different energies and frequencies passing through the air around you. There is large debate as to whether or not these frequencies cause long-term damage but many people experiencing a shift to a higher vibration prefer to spend time away from all electronic devices to ground themselves to the Earth.

There Is No Such Thing As Time…Never Was And Never Will Be! Part 2

Julian Barbour’s solution to the problem of time in physics and cosmology is as simply stated as it is radical: there is no such thing as time.

“If you try to get your hands on time, it’s always slipping through your fingers,” says Barbour. “People are sure time is there, but they can’t get hold of it. My feeling is that they can’t get hold of it because it isn’t there at all.” Barbour speaks with a disarming English charm that belies an iron resolve and confidence in his science. His extreme

perspective comes from years of looking into the heart of both classical and quantum physics. Isaac Newton thought of time as a river flowing at the same rate everywhere. Einstein changed this picture by unifying space and time into a single 4-D entity.

But even Einstein failed to challenge the concept of time as a measure of change. In Barbour’s view, the question must be turned on its head. It is change that provides the illusion of time. Channeling the ghost of Parmenides, Barbour sees each individual moment as a whole, complete and existing in its own right. He calls these moments “Nows.”

“As we live, we seem to move through a succession of Nows,” says Barbour, “and the question is, what are they?” For Barbour each Now is an arrangement of everything in the universe. “We have the strong impression that things have definite positions relative to each other. I aim to abstract away everything we cannot see (directly or indirectly) and simply keep this idea of many different things coexisting at once. There are simply the Nows, nothing more, nothing less.”

Barbour’s Nows can be imagined as pages of a novel ripped from the book’s spine and tossed randomly onto the floor. Each page is a separate entity existing without time, existing outside of time. Arranging the pages in some special order and moving through them in a step-by-step fashion makes a story unfold. Still, no matter how we arrange the sheets, each page is complete and independent. As Barbour says, “The cat that jumps is not the same cat that lands.” The physics of reality for Barbour is the physics of these Nows taken together as a whole. There is no past moment that flows into a future moment. Instead all the different possible configurations of the universe, every possible location of every atom throughout all of creation, exist simultaneously. Barbour’s Nows all exist at once in a vast Platonic realm that stands completely and absolutely without time.

Our illusion of the past arises because each Now contains objects that appear as “records” in Barbour’s language. “The only evidence you have of last week is your memory. But memory comes from a stable structure of neurons in your brain now. The only evidence we have of the Earth’s past is rocks and fossils. But these are just stable structures in the form of an arrangement of minerals we examine in the present. The point is, all we have are these records and you only have them in this Now.”

The time is now
The time is now

Time, in this view, is not something that exists apart from the universe. There is no clock ticking outside the cosmos. Most of us tend to think of time the way Newton did: “Absolute, true and mathematical time, of itself, and from its own nature, flows equably, without regard to anything external.” But as Einstein proved, time is part of the fabric of the universe. Contrary to what Newton believed, our ordinary clocks don’t measure something that’s independent of the universe.

The word “Mechanics” used in the term “Quantum Mechanics” indicates a machine like predictable, buildable, knowable thing. The Quantum Universe in which we live, whether we want to accept it or not, may seem on the surface to be mechanical and linear but it is not. It is probably better described as an infinite multitude of possible linear actions. If we must give this still mystical process a name lets call it “Quantum Ecology” rather than “Quantum Mechanics” because it is built from within it’s self. Everything comes out of the invisible in the same way as any living organism does.

In quantum mechanics all particles of matter and energy can also be described as waves. And waves have an unusual property: An infinite number of them can exist in the same location. If time and space are one day shown to consist of quanta, the quanta could all exist piled together in a single dimensionless point.

The current predominant world paradigm is that if a thing can not be explained, detailed, analyzed and documented by linear scientific thought processes then it’s mumbo jumbo. If you have a spiritual explanation for human existence then your crazy, you’re in dream land. The scientific mindset says everything in the universe must be capable of explanation either now or at some point in the future by scientific analytic methods alone. Science says “In the absence of scientific proof it’s not worth the time discussing. If it can not be put in a box with a label then forget it. Go figure out what box you can put it in, label it, then come back to us and we’ll see if we agree”. Can you see the limitations that this puts on human development?

Quantum particle behavior can not be explained in terms of science alone, that is to say, it can not be explained in terms of the mind because the mind by it’s nature functions on the basis that reality consists of things, things that can be broken down into individual bits of information and explained in a linear mechanical fashion. To realize how flawed this mindset is you must first accept that this is a relative world in which we live and on the conscious level we interact with other human beings and the rest of the universe in a linear fashion. This is the nature of the mind. We must go beyond the mind to access the answers.

infinite time - clock
” the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”

According to physics, your life is described by a series of slices of your worm; you as a baby, you as you ate breakfast this morning, you as you started reading this sentence and so on, with each slice existing motionless in its respective time. We generate time’s flow by thinking that the same self that ate breakfast this morning also started reading this sentence.

So do we really need to mourn time’s passing? Einstein, for one, drew solace from the view of the timeless universe he had helped to create, consoling the family of a recently deceased friend: “Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”

There Is No Such Thing As Time…Never Was And Never Will Be! Part 1

Everything exists in the present moment and it’s a fundamental principle of the Universe that many of our scientists are still trying to grasp. Time does not actually exist and Quantum Theory proves it. There are things that are closer to you in time, and things that are further away, just as there are things that are near or far away in space. But the idea that time flows past you is just as absurd as the suggestion that space does.

Now to the term “Relativity Theory”.I admit that it is unfortunate, and has given occasion to philosophical misunderstandings.

The trouble with time started a century ago, when Einstein’s special and general theories of relativity demolished the idea of time as a universal constant. One consequence is that the past, present, and future are not absolutes. Einstein’s theories also opened a rift in physics because the rules of general relativity (which describe gravity and the large-scale structure of the cosmos) seem incompatible with those of quantum physics (which govern the realm of the tiny).

According to Einstein’s special theory of relativity, there is no way to specify events that everyone can agree happen simultaneously. Two events that are both “now” to you will happen at different times for anyone moving at another speed. Other people will see a different “now” that might contain elements of yours but equally might not.

The result is a picture known as the block universe: the universe seen from that impossible vantage point outside space and time. You can by all means mark what you think is “now” with a red dot, but there is nothing that distinguishes that place from any other, except that you are there. Past and future are no more physically distinguished than left and right.

The equations of physics do not tell us which events are occurring right now–they are like a map without the “you are here” symbol. The present moment does not exist in them, and therefore neither does the flow of time. Additionally, Albert Einstein’s theories of relativity suggest not only that there is no single special present but also that all moments are equally real.

Some four decades ago, the renowned physicist John Wheeler, then at Princeton, and the late Bryce DeWitt, then at the University of North Carolina, developed an extraordinary equation that provides a possible framework for unifying relativity and quantum mechanics. But the Wheeler-DeWitt equation has always been controversial, in part because it adds yet another, even more baffling twist to our understanding of time.

“One finds that time just disappears from the Wheeler-DeWitt equation,” says Carlo Rovelli, a physicist at the University of the Mediterranean in Marseille, France. “It is an issue that many theorists have puzzled about. It may be that the best way to think about quantum reality is to give up the notion of time–that the fundamental description of the universe must be timeless.”illusion-of-time

One might say that when we better understand consciousness we will better understand time. Consciousness is the formless, invisible field of energy of infinite dimension and potentiality, the substrate of all existence, independent of time, space, or location, of which it is independent yet all inclusive and all present. It encompasses all existence beyond all limitation, dimension, or time, and registers all events, no matter how seemingly miniscule, such as even a fleeting thought. The interrelationship between time and consciousness from the human perspective is limited, when in fact it is unlimited.
