Forgiveness is the key to true freedom. Judging and criticising ourselves constantly and stressing ourselves with the past and perhaps, the future, are one of the many things we adopted and thought of them as normal things to do throughout the years. We became addicted to that.
These serve their purpose as it might show us a deeper rooted dysfunctional pattern, but at times it is on a more shallow level. As in, we just do it, because it became a habit. Eventually, these outdated habits need to be broken and transformed into the new ways. The new normal needs to become a constant state of self-nurturing and nourishing. Consider this shallower level transformation, a final purification and a general integration of a deeper state of self-love. In the grander scheme of things, there isn’t even something to forgive, as all is perfect as it is. – Eddie
