The Gift Of Death

“I learned that every mortal will taste death. But only some will taste life”

_Rumi

The life we live is a gift but can we see it as such?

Yes we can, and yet  at times all we can see is pain.

That’s part of life, that’s actually part of its mystery and its magic. It is through pain we grow and learn how to hold more love, more light. Becoming better human beings; more compassionate, humbler of how little we know.  Learning to be appreciative of the beautiful moments we have in this planet.

Looking at the bodies burning in the cremation grounds, in the sacred land of Nepal, is definitely an experience that I will never forget and with no doubt I wish to return to that place so many more times…

Pashupatinath Temple , Kathmandu

Why?

You might be thinking it’s such a morbid thing to do, but actually somehow that gives me great hope in humanity.

We act as we are invincible, but we are so fragile. Our lives can end at any moment and when I sit down and look at the fire consuming those bodies that are becoming ash, going back into the cosmic soup .. that’s when I truly value being alive in my own body.

My life can be told in so many different ways… I can choose to tell you all about my pain and my suffering, all the heart breaks, all the childhood trauma … and yes I do honour those moments that made me grow, that shaped me into such person that I am today.

I can also choose to tell you about the times I lost myself in that darkness and I wished for my own death … that I felt so alone and abandoned that it felt as my own essence was broken into a million pieces…

But today I tell you this story…

Yes, I can say to you I have not yet meet a human being that has not gone through this deep sense of being lost. We all have it. We make the most to hide it from others and from ourselves especially.

So this is how I will make good use of my words to empower myself and others. Like in the four agreements book, one of my favourites reads. You can use the word to create your life, your own reality. By the way you use this power, the power of the word, in the way and how you tell your story to others… Every time you choose pain and guilt, every time you portray yourself as a victim, you create more of that.

However, when you put yourself in a place of understanding, love and compassion, that my friends is true empowerment.

So the words I’m using here are to set myself even freer, to expand my soul. To look at death as the greatest gift, that makes me time after time appreciate being alive even if there were moments in which  I completely lost myself.

There is something, somehow, something within that keeps coming back up and pointing the way, bringing back all the love a, all the light , all the purity of my heart.

To wish for a better life, a better world, to create from a better place.

It’s okay to choose the same lover 1000 times even if you had your heart broken twice as much, it’s also okay to let them go and let God bring you new love … As long as you keep believing, having faith, growing, cherishing life, cherishing the treasures of your own heart.  Every choice you make is fine, you can keep on choosing anew everyday as long as you are choosing from a place of love, of truly living.

What does being alive means???

It is not just simply moving around in the body, doing things, waking up, going to work, being on auto pilot.

No, that’s existing!

Being alive means courage!

What is courage?

Courage is acting from a place from the heart.

This might be a hard explanation, because if you heart is closed … even if you are not coming from your thoughts you are in trouble … if you heart is closed, all you feel and do is coming out of survival, out of defensiveness, out of separation.

But when your heart is open nothing can hurt you, you come from a place of love, acceptance, inclusiveness. And although it might be frightening to make choices and be courageous and expose your heart to new hurts, what type of life would you rather live?

A sterile safe life, on auto pilot?

Or a life that gives you light in itself?

How do you express yourself? Is it from a place where you want to be seen doing what you “think” is right? Acting in a way in which the people around you will approve your choices?

Or is it from a place from true authenticity?

From a place of fulfilment and expansion?

From a place of true connection…

And what is true connection anyways?

Very few humans have the opportunity to experience that.

Everyone is so cover up with all types of masks, pretending acting in certain ways that is so rare when people truly connect showing al their vulnerability to one another.

Who are you here to impress?

Is the people around yourself? Your family?

Or is it your soul, your own heart?

I tell you, living from this place is almost impossible, it can be so volatile and you feel so exposed…

But that is living. That for me, in my own way of experiencing this life, that is being alive!

Listening you own heart and your soul, instead of listening to all the noise around you.

Keeping that strong knowing in your heart that all you have to do is nurture this inner connection.

So while I sit, looking at the burning bodies in the cremation ground, becoming ash. I tell myself: I will live and walk this path my own way. I will make choices that make me feel truly alive even if they absolutely sound insane to others, I will choose from my heart.  Then I will let go and let God guide me and show me the way.

With pure trust in that wisdom, the wisdom within, the wisdom of the universe.

Now I invite you to contemplate about your own life. To watch the end … To remember the gift of now. To cherish what is really important and to not waist any minute of your life living in fear because then you are already dead.

And because life is such an amazing adventure I will be taking some of my students/clients to Nepal so stay tuned or get in touch for more information.

Dreaming The Dream Or Living The Dream ?

Greetings!

Much is unfolding, even when everything appears to be still. There is action in movement, but there is action in stillness as well. On the 8th of February, we’ve experienced a new moon in Aquarius, the contemplator, the reflector with the focus on the inner planes, balanced beautifully and harmoniously by planets that set the wheels in motion, such as Mars in Scorpio.  On the same day, the chinese new year has been celebrated, the year of the monkey. Whenever such events are manifested in the outer, they mark a greater significance. In this case, the completion of a cycle and the beginning of a new one.

Over that past couple of weeks, we’ve integrated profound understandings, we’ve unified aspects of ourselves and we got deeper in the self-mastery process through experience. I read this energy in themes and the overall themes of it were surrender, along with acceptance, constant transformation and embodiment of our Soul  core essence. It’s not that this is stopping, expansion is continuous, but there are certain completion points for the things we’ve been working on.

As I’ve mentioned, we’ve been pushed to surrender all the resistance we might have held. This was needed, because there are experiences that we perceive as “negative.” The moment we perceived them so, we denied them. We deny the experiences that we came here for in the first place, instead of working through them. Let say, for example, you find yourself at a job that you don’t like, so you go” I don’t like this. I never wanted this, why is this happening? I don’t want this.” and from there you start denying the experience, you try to escape it, instead of embracing it. But in truth, this job was created by you, for you in order to learn something from it that is most likely for you Soul growth. Maybe there is a relationship at your work place that benefits you, or certain skills you need to aquire from it that will benefit you on the long term.

Bottom line is, your experiences reflect you and they usually hold a greater purpose than you can think of. Sometimes, we don’t know everything and we don’t see the bigger picture, but know that all the experiences that are often perceived as “negative” might hold a rare gem that yearns to be discovered and some of these experiences can be truly life changing in the most beautiful and transformative ways you can think of.

Knowing this, we can accept what life has to offer fearlessly, we can accept life as it is, surrender. It doesn’t mean hardships are necessary or that struggling is necessary. It means that the sooner we accept life as it is, the faster we move into the natural flow of creation and the easier it will be to move through challenges, just like the swan paddles across the water – with grace.

From there on, we can make the best of every experience we have in every moment. Work with what you have now, not what you think you should have. If the experience is there, it means there is a good reason for it. We can spend time dreaming about how things should be and how if the circumstances were different we would be happier, while we are missing the dream that is already being played out by us, for us. We are missing the moment of now and that way, we are missing out a big part of life itself. Dreaming the dream might give some sense of hope, I understand, but living the dream is the ultimate happiness. No one, ever, can teach you how to be happy or how to live, unless you figure that out yourself.

Life is not happening to you, you are life/creation itself. You make creation happen and the moment you truly realise and embody that realisation, you activate a little bit more of your potential as a human co-creator being, which is life changing in itself. Often time, not the most visible change, but by far one of the most profound one. After this realisation, comes the mastery. There might be moments when you feel hopeless, helpless and disempowered. In those moments use this newly(or not so newly)aquired awareness of your potential and tune into the higher truths of the Soul. It’s like switching from a boring radio station, to one where they play your favourite tracks.

These words are only meant to guide you towards living the dream, but it’s always our job to actually do it, to be truly alive.

I hope this makes sense.

Love and Light,

Eddie

” We are living in exceptional times. Scientists tell us that we have 10 years to change the way we live, avert the depletion of natural resources and the catastrophic evolution of the Earth’s climate.

The stakes are high for us and our children. Everyone should take part in the effort, and HOME has been conceived to take a message of mobilization out to every human being.

For this purpose, HOME needs to be free. A patron, the PPR Group, made this possible. EuropaCorp, the distributor, also pledged not to make any profit because Home is a non-profit film.

HOME has been made for you : share it! And act for the planet. ”

The Art of Living is Happiness – The Power Of The Breath

“Be happy not because everything is good, but because you can see the good side of everything.”— Unknown Author

Happiness is something everybody is looking for, but where is it to be found? I’ve done some writing on this subject in my previous articles; in fact, my very first articles were about Happiness because it is such a misunderstood state. Here are some links if you wish to read more and understand what I mean – Happiness Chasers: Are You Happy or Chasing It? or The Hamster Wheel.

What I’m trying to say is that people look for Happiness as if it’s a thing that is found somewhere else rather than within themselves. People think of Happiness as some kind of formula, or something that has to be achieved or done in a certain way, and they don’t realise that happiness is a state of being and is not dependant of anything to be felt or lived.

I will give you an example … when you are present without questioning, enjoying the very moment you are experiencing happiness, you might not be aware of it. In fact, most of the time when you are feeling true happiness you aren’t aware of it. You are flowing with the moment and enjoying it, you are not stopping and questioning every 5 seconds if you are happy or not, your mind is quiet and you are actually living in the state of happiness and are too satisfied to be bothered to question it.

breath

Another example is when you are happy there is absolutely no reason why you are happy! Yes! It might sound hard to believe, but happiness does not need a reason; it is the mind that tries to explain why you are feeling this way and attaches it to a fact based on your programming.  But once you start gaining awareness and understanding of how the mystery of you operates, you start being able to observe how you actually experience those states. I will not go into details as it is a long subject and topic for discussing, but if you wish you can join my Mediation Programme in the Bay area and start to have your own perspective in what I’m trying to grasp.

Back to the main topic of this article, I would like to say that there are many ways to understand oneself and start living in such a way. One of them, known to be valid worldwide, is The Art of Living – Happiness Course. In this course, you can experience this state and learn about how it works. They present you with valid breathing techniques called kryias and teach you a daily routine to be able to clear and calm the mind, allowing you to have more perspective and self-awareness.

What really excited me about the course was the whole emphasis on the breath and how important it is. From the moment we are born to the moment we die the breath is the very first and last thing we experience.  If you think about it, the air we breath today is timeless; it has been here since the start of the earth. We breath the same air as Julius Caesar, Albert Einstein and even Jesus Christ, so it connects us to the past and it will be here after we are no longer incarnated. It’s such a poetic thing, but it is immensely powerful.

Through the power of breath we can claim our Selves. We can connect to our own divinity and one can experience that for sure in this programme. The kryias are certainly very impressive, and they do so much for your well-being. However, another aspect of the course is the connectivity explored between the attendees.

Like the breath connects us to life itself, it was brought to our awareness how we too are connected and how precious these connections are, just like the breath.

I can only say it was a unique experience and I’m very grateful to Martin Blank who invited me to participate. I’ve also interviewed him, and you can read about his work.  More unusual was the fact that my birthday was on the very last day of the course and that made things even more special for me; it was such a blessing to be around amazing people and connecting with them in such meaningful ways.

Here is a video of what everyone had to say after the course:
