How To Transcend The Ego

Ego is one of the most talked about concepts in the spiritual community and nonetheless the most misunderstood and misperceived. I know I am touching on a sensitive subject, but try to keep an open mind and heart when reading, as that always leaves space for expansion. As always, use your discernment.

In order to transcend dualistic perceptions of the ego, we must first let go of the judgement of bad and good, wrong and right and start looking at things from a higher perspective, which is always neutral, always from a place of awareness. As we transcend dualistic perceptions, there will be no mental distortions and we can see things with greater clarity, as they are and the part they play in creation.

From experience, I say fighting, ” killing”, blaming and hating the ego is the most self-sabotaging, harmful thing we can do to ourselves and if we are doing it to ourselves, we are inevitably treating others the same.

Individuals who understand self-love and who truly love, accept and embrace all they are as human beings, as well as their universal nature, will never separate Soul from Ego. They have unified all the aspects within themselves. They have transcended lower aspects into more Soul-aligned aspects which inevitably creates a higher vibrational experience.

In the end, the ego is just a Soul expression that allowed us to experience duality. The simple awareness of that can create a big change within and a feeling of harmony and your relationship with yourself. It clearly served us well and did the trick, but if we want to return to our pristine nature, we must now merge all our aspects, ego/”shadow self” including. We do that not by constantly being in conflict with ourselves, constantly being at war with the ego, but by acknowledging, embracing, transcending and integrating deeper states of self-love and compassion for ourselves.

Awareness in the present moment of now is all we really need to transform, transmute and transcend in order to bring more Soul into our beingness. The rest comes naturally when we make a constant soul-fueled effort to become the highest aspect of ourselves we can be.

Thank you for reading,

Love and Light,
